Care for the Elderly

Life is very difficult in Haiti. It is even more difficult for the elderly. With the average mortality rate of 52 years, many do not live to experience the pain of the aged. But for those that do, life can be excruciatingly difficult. When basics of food, water, sanitation, shelter or human contact are missing from their lives, it can be an extremely lonely and sad time for them.

In Titanyen, Haiti we support a Christian group that puts God at the center of its mission by serving the elderly, and the handicapped by providing food, clean water, baths, clothing and the gift of love through human contact.

Healing Haiti helps provide food, clothing, goats, chickens, and rent assistance to 15 elderly living in Titanyen. We hope to one day provide care for the elderly at Grace Village.
